students who attend 2 of 3 workshops will be rewarded with their ticket to the university athletic event and take their unofficial visits!
CAMPUS LIFE & ACADEMICS
WORKSHOP 1
IOWA MEMORIAL UNION
5/24

MAY 24
Our first workshop kicks off with an inside look at college life, helping students imagine themselves on campus. Through hands-on activities and guided discussions, participants explore different majors, build mock class schedules, and tour key spots at the University of Iowa. Alongside their mentors, students begin to connect their interests to real academic paths and discover what college is really like — not just the classes, but the full experience.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
WORKSHOP 2
CRWC/WELLNESS CENTER
6/21

CAMPUS LIFE & ACADEMICS
In Workshop 2, students learn how to take care of their bodies and minds — just like college students do. Led in partnership with the University of Iowa Wellness Center, this session covers fitness, nutrition, and mental health in an age-appropriate, interactive way. From smoothie stations to mindfulness games and movement-based activities, students leave with new tools for making healthy choices and staying balanced, on and off campus.
ATHLETICS AND CAREER EXPLORATION
WORKSHOP 3
IOWA TRACK
7/26

CAMPUS LIFE & ACADEMICS
In our third and final workshop, students dive into the world of college athletics through a hands-on Track & Field Day in partnership with University of Iowa Track & Field. Guided by current student-athletes, participants rotate through fun, movement-based stations that introduce athletic skills while sparking conversations around teamwork, goal-setting, and career opportunities in sports and beyond. Whether sprinting, jumping, or cheering from the sidelines, students leave with a better understanding of college life, the discipline behind athletics, and how their passions can shape future paths.
